Using Lulu

Lulu is offered freely, to help you remember Allah. You are welcome to read, count, and return as often as your heart wishes. We ask only that you use it in a way that honours its purpose, and does not harm others.

The words within

Every dhikr, duʿāʾ and adhkar in Lulu is drawn from the Qurʾān and the Sunnah, and we name its source with care. We strive for accuracy in the Arabic, the transliteration and the meaning.

Still, we are human, and error is human. If you notice a mistake, we would count it a kindness to be told, so we can correct it at once. Lulu is a companion for remembrance, not a substitute for a scholar. For rulings and guidance, please turn to people of knowledge.

What belongs to whom

The name Lulu, its design, artwork and writing belong to us, and are shared with you to use, not to copy or resell. The sacred texts themselves belong to no one but are a mercy for everyone.

Any dhikr you add yourself, and the counts you keep, remain yours, and live on your own device.

Offered as it is

We build Lulu with sincerity and care, yet we cannot promise it will be flawless or never pause. It is offered as it is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that may arise from using it. We will, in shāʾ Allah, keep mending and improving it.

Your privacy

How we handle the little you share is set out in our Privacy Policy. In short: we collect as little as possible, and never sell it.

Changes

These terms may be refined over time. When they are, the date above will change. Continuing to use Lulu means you are content with the terms as they then stand.
